Shocking Popping Candy Vodka

Pop Rocks. Sort of a bane of my vodka flavouring experience. Mind you this is just popping candy, but I put it in the same boat. They're more of a novelty than an actual candy because they disappear so fast. There isn't too much flavouring, so you don't get to flavour a drink efficiently. Secondly the novelty of the popping candy would be lost after infusing a drink, so there isn't much of a reason to do it.
Hoping that my problem was strictly that I didn't have enough pop rocks, I decided to double down. Then I doubled it again to be sure I was right.

Sunkist Hard Candy Vodka

Hard Candy is a movie about a man potentially losing his balls. Sunkist Hard Candy is about just being sweet. I urge you to know the difference. Not too long ago I found a bag of Sunkist candies. Normally I remember Sunkist as being more of a juice company, but I'm just a crazy Canadian, so what do I know? Anyways, I wanted to make these "hard candies" even harder, so I decided to add a little vodka.
I introduce to you the Citrus Blend of Sunkist hard candy. I didn't know that these existed until I picked up a whole bag for $1.00. Big spender eh?
As you can see, this is the flavour distribution. Lemon is in the lead, followed by orange, cherry, and finally strawberry with only two.

Great Bite Mint Vodka

Hey kids. Do you like attitude? Do you like sharks? How about mint gum shark candy for all you surfer ninjas out there? I guess that's the marketing scheme they went with when creating this candy. It's not a terrible idea, as it does have a certain awesome factor.
The candy comes in a sealed tin with a giant bite mark out of it. That alone is pretty cool, but that's not the end of it, which we will get to in a bit.
It's loaded quite full with their mint candy. The candy itself does taste like mint, but is far from overpowering.

Candy Buttons Vodka

Anyone remember Candy Buttons? As a kid they were just sugary buttons, less than the size of a button, and really they were pure sugar. Remembering that, I decided to melt a couple down for shots!

Here they are in all of their glory.

Each package was double sided, and all the colours are separated. There should be enough to satisfy a few kids!

Peach Slices Candy Cane Vodka

I know I'm a little late on the train for Candy Cane vodka, but it has been a pain to find candy canes that aren't broken. Luckily a family member had been holding these off for me, and now I get to enjoy them with you!

They come in a box of nine, which seems a little odd, but it is what it is. I figure they should come in twelve, like the twelve days of Christmas, but I'm no marketing expert.

Scotch Fudge Vodka

I've been a bit shy of staying away from things like chocolate. Sure fudge isn't quite chocolate, but it still has that vibe. That vibe that says, "Woah buddy, this just isn't going to work out." Mind you that was also something work has said to me for drinking this stuff on the job.

But I figured that since this was Scotch Fudge, it should be okay. This stuff is special from Ireland, a present from my girlfriend. That girl knows exactly what I like.

Strawberry Marshmallow Vodka

There are many candies that made me the man I am today. Boxes and boxes of candies that turned me into that thin tall guy that everyone wonders why he's so thin. One of the staples of my diet was strawberry marshmallows.

Look how happy they are to be used. These ones specifically have been dried out, for over a month, to prime them for the event. Last time I did marshmallows, I knew I could take them to the next level, and by letting them dissolve, I could reach that.

How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop? Who cares. How drunk can a Tootsie Pop get you? Now that's a question you can care about.

And if you don't know what one looks like, well you should be ashamed of yourself. Did you not have a good childhood, or did your parents hate you?

Caramel Vodka

Caramel Vodka. It sounds so sensual and delicious. Almost like the hit song, "Ebony and Ivory". Do they really live in harmony though? I shall give it a shot.

So this is what we have to work with. Looks like a nice hefty bag of deliciousness.

Jawbreaker Vodka

Did you know there was a horrible movie for teenagers called Jawbreaker? It was pretty lame. Did you know the first time the term "jawbreaker" shows up in the English language is in 1839 and the meaning was a "hard to pronounce word". Today we look into Jawbreaker vodka, which will just crush your vodka jaw.

Here is our subject. Looks pretty strong, like a woman.

What's this? We will introduce it to Mr. Hammer. Sounds like we're going to be stuck in the middle with you.

Tootsie Roll Vodka

Did you know that the Tootise Roll was created as a tie in to the popular song by the 69 Boys? With words like... Let me see that tootsie roll Get up and roll just make that tootsie oooooooooo Cotton candy, sweet and low, let me see that tootsie roll Come on, tootsie roll, just make that tootsie roll The problem was that no one knew what they meant by tootsie roll, and so a new product was created.

We start by taking a medium sized Tootsie Roll and lay it out all sexily.

Turkish Delight Vodka

According to Wikipedia Turkish Delight or Lokum is a family of confections based on a gel of starch and sugar. According to Chronicles of Narnia, this will make you turn to the dark side. It's time to turn to the dark side.

Here they are in all their evil. I mean glory. They don't look to evil to me. Famous last words?

Pop Rocks Vodka

Pop Rocks. For me... This was a no brainer for when it came to doing shots. They are sweet little candies that add an adventure to your tongue. Why wouldn't I want to do it?

So here's the brand I chose for this. It's your standard issue, single flavoured treat.This guy looks like a crack head. Almost a snap, crackle, pop head.

Caramel Apple Pop Vodka

Remember when you went to the fair last summer, and it was hot out, the kids were annoying, and that creepy clown kept staring at you with his one good eye? Me too! At that point in time, I wish I had something to ease my emotions, but nothing was around to do so. Luckily I have discovered a fair ground treat, which allows you to experience the fair, without going there!

Step one, grab this kind of lollipop. It's dual flavoured, and just the thing to start the day.

Strawberry Rock Candy Vodka

If you smell... What the Rock Candy is cooking. Well do you smell what the vodka is cooking? This is a horrible analogy.

Step one, you have to get the rock candy into the ring. Here it is on the entrance ramp getting read to defend the candy championship.

Crystal Light Hawaiian Punch Vodka

Candy comes in many forms, even sugary shots. Sure this was meant to be used in water, much like Kool Aid, I decided to use it a little differently.

If you look closely, you can see that it says to add to boiled water. Fire water is close enough.

Push Pop Vodka Shot

Push Pop drop and lock. Everyone shout out a little "Pop Pop".

Sure they say I'm too old for licking candy like this. That's why I added it to vodka.

Cotton Candy Vodka

Remember that time you were at the carnival and you noticed someone drinking out of a brown paper bag? Then you would ask your parents what that man was doing, and they said that the person was drinking cotton candy? Well I've always wanted to give that a shot.

It can be a bit difficult to find cotton candy, so I stole this out of my war bunker. I guess if the bomb drops, the world will flat out be without.

Double Bubble Lollipop Vodka

Remember when you used to go to the doctor as a kid, and then at the end you would get a lollipop after getting a shot? Well this time we're going to take that shot and mix it with our candy.

Grab a back of lollipops. Can be any one. These ones just have gum in the center.
